Captain's License Training Instructor
Brad, a U.S. Navy veteran, served on USS MIdway (CV-41) during Desert Storm and USS Ranger (CV-61) during Operation Southern Watch. He transitioned to running two cruise-only travel agencies for 13 years before changing careers to become a Deputy Sheriff in Mason County, WA, where he worked for 9-1/2 years. As a Marine Service Deputy, he patrolled the water, enforced maritime laws, and instructed for the Washington State Boater Education Card.
Brad then moved to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office and was on the Marine Service Unit for 10 years. In 2021, he attended Flagship Maritime, earning his OUPV and Master 100 Ton license. He then launched a consulting business, working as a certified trainer for SAFEboats International, conducting sea trials on new vessels before global shipment, and providing on-site training for SAFEboat customers, including at Camp Lejeune, NC for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Recently, Brad was selected by Washington State Parks to instruct at the Marine Law Enforcement Academy, training new boat deputies across the state on maritime laws and boat handling techniques. Brad has thousands of hours on the water. Brad and his wife Sandra are honored to continue the outstanding Flagship name and legacy, entrusted by Jan and Skip.
